The Iel te dit je t’aime art project, ongoing since 2018, aims to call on type designers. The typographic intervention consists of adding a French ligature — iel — into existing typefaces, whether open-source or not. This affectionate message is also an intrusion, a small act of piracy.
Here, the project expands with a series of de-gendered adjectives created through the use of post-binary typographic signs, inviting everyone to feel welcome — whether they identify as unruly, rebellious, or delightfully insolent.
